gloATL:
Livers
gloATL's new migratory, public work Livers is a contemporary physical experience
on a theme of endurance. The work reflects a species' primitive traits and voluntary
migration patterns in order to arrive to a vessel, a home, a tank.
The term "Livers" was coined by French theorist Guy Debord at the peak of the
Situationists era in the 1960's. Debord stated, "We are all Livers."
Roaming performances start at the Peters Street Bridge at 8:30 and 10:30,
beginning a migratory
pattern that reflects railroads as old as the city itself. The work will
culminate at an empty lot along the spur that is also visible from Walker Street.
