Secrets of Atlanta

Jes Schrom

March - Fall 2011
Various locations around Atlanta

During the first phase of this project (March-May), Schrom collected anonymous secrets through gathering boxes at a variety of Atlanta locations. Starting in September, these secrets will be shared on tri-fold paper hand towels in public restrooms, revealing to Atlantans the secret thoughts and private desires of our citizens.

Schroms work combines humor with heartache, intimacy with detachment, destruction with regret. These contrasting emotions, and all that lies between, reflect the complexity of our connections to others, humanity, and most importantly, our self.
