A progressive series of public interventions by artist collective, John Q. Taking its source material from the Atlanta History Center's Unspoken Past Oral History Project and from news reports, particular moments from personal stories or events will be represented using the visual media of performance, installation and projection. These specifically located interventions are meant to create new memories based on Atlanta's LGBTQ past. The interventions are intended as ephemeral, morphing and discursive memorials.

John Q is a new artist collective whose name references "John Q. Public." The "public" is left understood, though the work is considered a kind of public scholarship, and the "Q" is left hanging to reference the group's interest in queer history and politics. The collective consists of Wesley Chenault, Andy Ditzler and Joey Orr.
